Last Stand of the Japanese
The weekend itself was actually a very enjoyable experience. Jackson Lee came to visit and we hiked up Mt. Nagchajun, which was one of the last stands of the Japanese during WWII. They holed up on this mountain and the Americans shelled the tar out of them while General Yamashito was surrendering in a different part of Ifugao (Kiangan). Its an awesome hike with an even better view.
With a chicken waiting its demise below for dinner and lessons in how to make unleavened bread it was a wonderful Saturday indeed.
To top it off, I finally discovered a way to shrink images on my post-Photoshop computer making them much easier to upload and share! Hopefully the top image will expand to the size it is on my computer so you can get a good view of town. Enjoy!
